From digital art and design to traditional canvas painting, textile art and large scale mural work, I am a multi disciplinary artist who wears many hats! Binx is a nickname I received during my high school days and has gone on to fit me like a comfy old jumper I’ve never taken off. Most people call me Binx and it’s a name I both use as an artist and for my creative business too.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve always held a paintbrush in my hand - creating has been a constant passion of mine. I grew up in a family of very creative women who were always painting, baking, growing and sewing things, so naturally as soon as I left school the only thing I wanted to study was Fine Art. After completing a 4 year degree through both TAFE and university in 2011, I went on to pursue creativity in all its forms and have had many career highlights along the way since such as: working with brands and organisations, designing products, illustrating children’s books, teaching workshops and painting at mural festivals - just to name a few!

Pattern is also a huge source of inspiration to me and I am very drawn to it in general, specifically that of the 1960s and 70s. Throughout my travels both domestically and abroad, I have collected vast amounts of vintage textiles and wallpapers plus elements from nature, photographs, and other oddities. These all serve as references and influence the art I make greatly.

My work is a versatile expression of my interests, however each piece, at its core, shares a common thread:

A SENSE OF SOUL, NOSTALGIA, AND FREEDOM OF SPIRIT.
